What to Wear-Maternity

There are soo many good options when choosing something to wear for your maternity session! As part of my service, I will help you with the styling and even provide you with some options for the day. A few weeks prior to our session I will share with you a mood board that we can take our inspiration from.

Coats and Jackets: A cool leather jacket or a long trench coat can add personality to a maternity photo. I have plenty of options if you'd like to borrow one from the client wardrobe. Accessorise with a pair of sunnies.

Fabric Draping: A sheer piece of tulle or chiffon can be elegantly draped over the body or wrapped to create movement in the wind. I have white, black and beige in my collection.

Oversized White Linen Shirt: This is a classic choice you've probably seen before. I have a few options available, both full-length and cropped. Looks cute with open mum jeans.

Swimwear: If you're comfortable in a bikini, a square-cut top looks great. Something plain, neutral coloured without patterns is best. Standing in shallow waves covering nipples with your hand/arm is a cute look.

Robes: A long robe is another excellent option that offers flow and movement. Many online stores sell gowns and robes specifically designed for photography. I have a few white options for these too.

Bandeau Top and Maxi Skirt: A white bandeau top paired with a maxi skirt creates a farmyard or milkmaid vibe. You could even accessorize with a white bandana and boots.

Maternity Gown: You'll find a wide collection of maternity dresses in my client wardrobe. Alternatively, you can purchase from a store that specialises in maternity gowns for photography, or consider hiring one!
